Bike Universe Customization and Builds

How tuning and customising work in Bike Universe, what More Builds and Color Wheel actually unlock, and the upgrade order that changes how a bike rides.

Bike Universe Customization and Builds

Bike Universe splits customisation into two jobs: tuning, which changes how the bike rides, and customising, which changes how it looks. Both are named in the store description on a single line, "Tune and customise your bike", and the game sells two passes that touch them: More Builds at 99 Robux and Color Wheel Customisation at 240.

Tuning Versus Customising

The words are not interchangeable, and the game's own sentence treats them as two actions:

Tuning Customising
What changes Ride behaviour: how it accelerates, brakes, handles, jumps Appearance: colours, parts, visual identity
How it is paid for In-game cash, earned by riding, wheelies and tricks In-game cash, plus one Robux colour pass
Why it matters It is the difference between landing a trick and crashing it It is the difference between caring about your bike and not

New players almost always invert this: they spend on paint first because paint is visible, then wonder why the bike still handles badly. The honest order is tuning first, looks later, because looks do not pay.

What More Builds Probably Does

More Builds costs 99 Robux, it was added on October 12, 2026, and its description is empty. The name is the only claim.

The reasonable inference, from the name alone, is that it raises the number of build slots or saved customisation setups you can keep. In games with a build system, that is what "more builds" means. But this is inference, not documentation, and the developer has written nothing to confirm it.

At 99 Robux it is the cheapest item in the store, which makes it the easiest impulse buy and the one with the least information. If you care about customisation, wait until you have seen the in-game build menu and know how many slots the free version gives you. The gamepasses guide has the full price table.

What Color Wheel Customisation Does

240 Robux, added October 21, 2026, the newest item in the store, description empty. The name points at a colour picker rather than a set of preset colours: a wheel, not a palette.

The practical difference is range. Preset colours are free and limited; a full wheel lets you match a livery exactly. Whether that is worth 240 Robux depends entirely on how much you care about the bike looking like yours, because it does not touch performance.

Neither pass is documented

Both customisation passes have blank descriptions. The names are the only official claim, and everything in this section beyond the price and date is inference. Treat them as cosmetic purchases you might enjoy, not as upgrades you can evaluate before buying.

The Upgrade Order That Changes How It Rides

No tuning stat list is published, so the order below is reasoning from how bike physics works rather than from a stat sheet:

  1. Brakes. Every wheelie ends with a brake tap. Better brakes mean later corrections and fewer crashes, and crashes are the most expensive thing in the game.
  2. Suspension or handling. Landings are where tricks pay or fail. If the bike bottoms out, the trick does not count.
  3. Acceleration or torque. More drive helps you get the front wheel up at lower speed, which makes wheelies easier to start on short straights.
  4. Top speed. Nice on long roads, useless in corners, and the least useful stat for a player who is still learning control.

That ordering contradicts the instinct to buy speed first. It is right for the same reason a driver learns braking points before lap records: control is what converts a bike into income.

A third-party game-data page circulating since launch lists eight tuning categories, including top speed, acceleration, braking, handling, jump height, wheelie power, trick speed and hang time. We could not verify that list against any official source, so treat it as an indication of what the tuning menu may contain, not as the menu itself.

Customisation and Identity

There is an odd thing about a game with six passes and no badges: customisation is doing the work that achievements usually do. With zero badges, there is no official record of what you have done, so a tuned, painted bike is the only thing other players can read about you.

The same is true across the genre, and it explains why these systems feel unfinished everywhere at once. Bikelife Baltimore's own listing still promises new motorcycles, maps and customisation as work in development, a year after launch. Bike Universe has been public for four weeks.

That makes cosmetic spending more rational here than in most games, but only after you have something to show. A stock bike with expensive paint reads as a stock bike.

One bike, one identity

Pick a single machine, tune it fully, then paint it. Splitting cash across three half-tuned bikes gives you three slow bikes and no signature.

What We Cannot Tell You

Being explicit about the gaps, because the store is not:

  • No tuning prices or stat ranges are published.
  • No item list for customisation exists outside the game.
  • No confirmation of what More Builds or Color Wheel unlock.
  • No confirmation that tuning is class-specific.

If a page gives you exact handling numbers for Bike Universe, it invented them. The measurement method in the money guide works for tuning too: change one thing, test the same corner, compare.

FAQ

Does tuning cost Robux? No evidence of it. The store sells customisation passes, not tuning, and the description presents tuning as part of the normal loop.

What does More Builds unlock? Unknown officially. The name implies extra build or saved-setup slots; the description is blank and the price is 99 Robux.

Is Color Wheel Customisation worth 240 Robux? Only if you care about exact colours. It is cosmetic and does not affect how the bike rides.

Can you customise any bike? Unknown. The game says "your bike" without specifying whether every class supports the same options.

Does painting a bike make it faster? No. Nothing suggests appearance stats exist, and the game separates tuning from customising in its own description.
