CloverFall Beginners Guide: Start Fast

Claim four working codes first, pick up whatever Epic or Rare book you pull, lock in any clan that feeds your main damage type, and stack skill points into one path instead of spreading them. That sequence carries the whole first hour: free currency from the menu, a book with a real kit, a family bonus on every fight, and a tree that multiplies the same damage source instead of three.

  • Minute zero: redeem RELEASE, BUGFIX1, THANKYOUFOR20KVISITS, and BUGFIX2 from the Codes button on the main menu for 5,000 yol, 2,000 arcanite, and 85 clan rolls.
  • First pulls: play whatever Epic or Rare you land (Light, Fire, Lightning, Water), reroll clans only until one matches your damage source.
  • First points: one damage path plus a little Endurance; never three paths evenly.

Before you load in: codes and what they buy

CloverFall launched October 5, 2026 from Malphite Studios and sits near 86,000 visits with about 523 concurrent players as of October 7, 2026. Release-week generosity is the whole early economy: four strings, all redeemable from the Codes button on the main menu, paste each one and press Redeem.

Code Reward Tracked by
RELEASE 5,000 yol, 1,000 arcanite, 25 clan rolls PCGamesN, Twinfinite, pressroomgame
BUGFIX1 25 clan rolls PCGamesN, Twinfinite, pressroomgame
THANKYOUFOR20KVISITS 1,000 arcanite, 25 clan rolls PCGamesN, Twinfinite
BUGFIX2 1,000 arcanite, 10 clan rolls Twinfinite, pressroomgame

The clan rolls are the headline: 85 free rerolls before grinding anything. The arcanite funds grimoire spins and, per a single tracker summary, elemental re-rolls and cosmetic looks. The yol covers everyday early costs. Full strings, spelling warnings, and the empty expired list live on the code list.

Your first grimoire: play what you pull

Nine elemental books are documented across four rarities, and the realistic first-day pool is Epic Light and Fire plus Rare Lightning and Water. All four run five-skill kits gated by mastery: Light reaches G Cutscene at 200 with an ore, fish, scale, and core bill; Fire mirrors it with ore, fish, and core costs; Lightning and Water share Z at 1, X at 30, C at 65, V at 95, and G at 200 with their own material lists. Uncommon Heal and Air stop at three skills and 50 mastery, so replace Air on sight and keep Heal only while survival matters more than clear speed.

The rule beginners get backwards: a Rare at 100 mastery beats an Epic at zero. Sunk mastery is real progress, and every five-skill book shares the same long V-to-G climb (80 to 120 mastery plus materials), so switching books resets the longest grind in the system. Pick the best thing you hold, commit, and let the tier list guide what you chase next rather than what you play tonight.

Two gaps to respect. The exact in-game route for acquiring new books (which NPC, which location, which currency step) is unconfirmed, so nothing here invents one. And the character-named books sharing clan names (Epic Kira, Swing, Vaude, Voltia and the rest) have no documented connection to those clans, so do not plan a pairing nobody confirmed. Full per-book skills and bills are in the grimoire list.

Fish and mine before you need to

Ultimate bills mix mined ores, fished catches, and book-specific cores, with Royal Mana Crystals and Royal Leviathan Scales recurring across books. Start both gathering loops early, because late bills do not care which book you held at level one.

Your first clan: match the damage source, then stop

Twenty-one clans are documented from Mythic Asta down to six Uncommon starters, and the reroll rule is one sentence: stop the moment a clan feeds your main damage type. A B-tier Epic matching your build beats a higher-rarity clan feeding a stat you never use. Kira (25% grimoire with crit) serves casters, Voltia (30% melee with crit) serves melee, Swing (30% style with health) serves style builds, and Vaude (30% grimoire with stamina regen) serves rotation-heavy casters. Among Rares, Bosimortier's 22% grimoire and Adlai's 18% melee at least feed damage; among Uncommons, Roselle's 12% grimoire leads for casters.

Asta (110% melee, 90% style, 90% weapon, 70% grimoire, 60% HP, plus a 40% HP aura) is the dream, not the plan. Mythic means the hardest pull in the system, and most accounts live in A-tier and B-tier for a long while. Mid-game, roll only in batches toward a Legendary that fits (Yami or Silva for casters, Vermillion for melee, Vangeance for stamina-hungry rotations), and never reroll a matched Epic into randomness hoping for Mythic unless fallback rolls remain. The clan breakdown carries every percentage and the aura mechanics.

Rarity alone is not an upgrade

A Legendary feeding a damage type you never touch loses to the Epic you already built around. Read the bonus lines, not the tier letter, before confirming any reroll.

Skill points: one main path, a side of Endurance

Skill Points arrive as you level, and three paths compete for them: Strength (melee, weapon, fighting style damage), Endurance (health, regeneration, stamina), and Grimoire (magic damage, cooldowns, crit). No respec method is documented as of October 7, 2026, so spend as if each point locks. The split that works: stack the path behind your kills, keep a minority in Endurance for health and stamina, and leave the third path alone. A thin spread across all three is the weakest layout at every level.

Start from combat feel, not from a ranking. Sword range and weapon actives: Strength. Spell rotations: Grimoire. Dying before learning anything: Endurance until survival stops being the lesson. Tree and clan stack on the same stats, so confirming the clan match first prevents the classic error of a Strength tree under a grimoire clan. The skill tree guide maps every build split in detail.

The first hour in order

Quests, bosses, raids, dungeon waves, fishing, mining, crafting, and AFK rewards all exist on the official feature list, but the order matters more than the menu. This sequence converts the free currency into power with the least waste:

  1. Redeem all four codes from the main-menu Codes button before entering the world.
  2. Roll clans until one matches your damage source, then stop and bank the rest.
  3. Play your best pulled book to its first mastery gates (X at 25 to 30, C at 60 to 75) before judging it.
  4. Put early skill points into the path behind your kills with a minority in Endurance.
  5. Start fishing and mining early so ultimate material bills do not gate your G skill later.
  6. Push mastery and levels on the matched setup; save remaining rolls and arcanite for a real upgrade, not a lateral move.

Trackers worth bookmarking while the game is this young: PCGamesN CloverFall codes, Twinfinite CloverFall codes, and Pocket Tactics CloverFall codes. All three updated October 5 to 6, 2026.

What is still unconfirmed on day three

Boss rosters and tactics, yol farming routes, PvP rules, any race or bloodline system, exact grimoire acquisition steps, and official social accounts beyond the Trello board are all undocumented. Anything promising those details today is guessing.

FAQ

What should I do first in CloverFall?

Redeem the four working codes from the main-menu Codes button, roll a clan matching your damage source, and play your best pulled book. That order turns free currency into power before you spend a minute grinding.

Which starting grimoire is best?

Light or Fire among Epics, Lightning or Water among Rares. All four clear early content. Keep whichever you pull and build its mastery rather than resetting progress chasing a marginally better book.

Should I reroll my clan early?

Until it matches your damage source, yes. After that, stop. A matched Epic beats a mismatched Legendary, and the leftover rolls fund a real mid-game upgrade toward Yami, Silva, Vangeance, or Vermillion.

Where should my first skill points go?

Into the path behind your kills, with a minority in Endurance. Strength for melee and weapons, Grimoire for casters, Endurance only as support. Never spread evenly across all three.

Is there anything I should not spend yet?

Royal Mana Crystals, Celestial Pearls, and Royal Leviathan Scales. They feed multiple ultimate bills, and spending them on a book you plan to drop is the most expensive early mistake. The grimoire list shows which bills need them.
