Goalbound Characters Guide October 2026
Goalbound's roster is a Blue Lock cast converted into 6v6 football styles — Sae conducts, Rin and Shidou finish, Nel Isagi breaks games open, and Aiku anchors the back line. New players should chase one settled attacker first; Isagi is the only common pull, so expect him early and build around whoever premium lands next.
- Best first targets: Sae for playmaking, Rin or Shidou for finishing, Aiku for defense.
- Free starter: Isagi — the only uncommon style at roughly 55% per normal roll.
- Premium odds: Mythic-range styles run about 0.65% to 1.5% normal, near 4% lucky.
- New arrival: Don Lorenzo joined October 6, 2026 as the carry-forward pick.

How the roster works
Every character in Goalbound is a style — the playable kit with its own moves, dribble feel, and awakening. Styles come from Style Spins, normal and lucky, and sit in rarity bands running from uncommon through Epic and Legendary up to Mythic and World Class. Your ego passive then layers on top; the same Rin plays differently under Dribbler than under Iron Wall.
The frame around all of it: a Blue Lock-inspired 6v6 team battler by XI-GO (creatorId 34966374), created December 15, 2024, updated October 6, 2026, near 74 million visits and roughly 272,000 favorites. Twelve players per server, six a side. Controls are fixed and public — Shift runs, Q dribbles, T builds Flow, G fires Awaken, M1 shoots with curve, feint, volley, and parry variants on timing.

Same caution as every page in this set: Goalbound Legacy is a separate same-name project, not this XI-GO game (universeId 6925303818). Character lists, rarities, and codes do not cross over. Verify the developer reads XI-GO before trusting any roster claim.
The full roster at a glance
Fourteen styles are confirmed across the community wiki style index: NEL Isagi, Shidou, Rin, Sae, Aiku, Barou, Nagi, Yukimiya, Bachira, Kurona, Kunigami, Chigiri, Gagamaru, and Isagi. The table below sorts them by on-pitch job with the honest one-line verdict each.
| Character | Role | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| Sae | Playmaker | The conductor — best all-round engine for a team that passes |
| Rin | Finisher | Cold-blooded central striker, top of most style boards |
| NEL Isagi | Wildcard | Meta-warping ceiling, hardest kit to pilot |
| Shidou | Finisher | Explosive box presence next to Rin at the top |
| Don Lorenzo | Carrier forward | New October 6 arrival; dribble-first, see the Lorenzo guide |
| Barou | Striker | Selfish scorer — feeds on service, starves without it |
| Nagi | Finisher | First-touch magic, quieter between highlights |
| Yukimiya | Winger | Duel-first wide man for 1v1 players |
| Bachira | Dribbler | Chaos carrier; solo-queue menace, structured-game gamble |
| Chigiri | Winger | Pace outlet for counters and wide switches |
| Kurona | Midfield | Link-up glue for possession sides |
| Kunigami | Shooter | Power shooting from mid-range spots |
| Aiku | Defender | The back-line anchor — best defensive style in the pool |
| Gagamaru | Keeper | Shot-stopper home for keeper mains |
| Isagi | All-round | The only uncommon (about 55% per normal roll) — your day-one body |
Rarity context, honestly labelled: community wiki style pages put Mythic-range outcomes around 0.65% per normal roll at the low end (Rin-side figures) to about 1.5% (Sae-side), rising near 4% to 4.2% on lucky spins. Isagi alone sits at uncommon with roughly 55% per normal roll. Everything between those poles — Epic and Legendary mids — fills out as you roll. No developer-published rate card exists, so treat the bands as planning guides.
New accounts get Isagi almost immediately and then one early premium. That premium decides your role for the first month — Rin means striker, Sae means midfield, Aiku means defense. Forcing a position your pulls do not support wastes spins.
The five that decide games
Sae is the safest elite pull in the game. His kit conducts entire possessions — distribution, tempo, and an awakening that tilts close matches. Genius ego smooths his stamina across long spells on the ball; Brother works as a link-up placeholder. If your account owns Sae, the team plays through you.
Rin and Shidou share the finisher crown with opposite temperaments. Rin is the structured killer: positioning, timing, conversion. Shidou is the explosive one: chaos in the box, highlights per minute. Both pair with Dribbler or King egos, and both headline the tier list for reasons that survive every patch. Pick Rin for consistency, Shidou for ceiling.
NEL Isagi is the wildcard that warps drafts. His ceiling exceeds everyone on this list in the right hands and his floor sits below Barou in the wrong ones — awakening timing and Flow management decide which you get. Prodigy or Genius egos forgive the learning curve. Do not main him first; learn the game on base Isagi, then graduate.
Aiku is the only defender worth building around. In a 6v6 meta that worships forwards, a settled Aiku with Iron Wall ego wins the matches nobody clips — tackles, interceptions (airborne E), and the headers (Space + M1) that end counters. Keeper mains pair him with Gagamaru cover; everyone else should simply appreciate sharing a server with one.
Roles, egos, and who plays where
Goalbound's 6v6 shape needs two forwards, two mids, and two at the back. The roster maps onto that shape cleanly once egos enter the picture:
| Slot | Characters | Ego pairing |
|---|---|---|
| Central striker | Rin, Shidou, Barou, Nagi | Dribbler, King, or Genius — see the ego spins guide |
| Wide forward | Yukimiya, Chigiri, Bachira, Don Lorenzo | Streetstyle, Speedster, or Dribbler |
| Midfield | Sae, Kurona, Kunigami, base Isagi | Genius or Brother; Prodigy as placeholder |
| Defense / keeper | Aiku, Gagamaru | Iron Wall first, Hero for support cover |
Flow (T) and Awaken (G) management separates roles more than raw kits do. Forwards bank Flow for single possessions; midfielders spend it to survive presses; defenders save Awaken for the one counter that decides the half. The official key list — E tackling, airborne E intercepting, M1 timing volleys and parries — rewards defenders who learn timing first and attackers who learn feints first.

Goalkeeper deserves its own paragraph because search demand asks and the answer is short: no separate keeper class exists, so Gagamaru plus Aiku plus Iron Wall ego is the keeper build. One player per team should own it; six strikers lose to any side with a back line. If nobody volunteers, base Isagi with a defensive ego holds the line acceptably while your premiums develop.
Who to pick first
Day one: play Isagi and learn the keys. His 55% pull rate means duplicates fund your early economy, and his all-round kit teaches shooting (M1), curving (M1 + A/D), feinting (M1 + M2), dribbling (Q), and the Flow-to-Awaken arc without punishing mistakes.
First premium: commit to whatever the pool gives you. Rin or Shidou means striker reps; Sae means midfield; Aiku means defense; NEL Isagi means the practice room before ranked play. Spend normal Style Spins freely here — breadth beats perfection when every slot is empty.
First lucky session: wait until one role is settled, then chase its S-tier partner. A Rin owner hunts Dribbler; a Sae owner hunts Genius; an Aiku owner hunts Iron Wall. Lucky odds near 4% reward focus and punish dabbling. Fund the session from the 36 active codes — RIENGOAT alone pays 20 Normal plus 20 Lucky on each side — via the codes guide and the official Goalbound Discord for mid-window additions.
Most public boards were written in August 2026, before the October 6 revert and the Don Lorenzo arrival. Treat every tier claim as provisional until one balance patch lands on the new build.
FAQ
Who is the best character in Goalbound?
No single answer survives contact with positions. Sae is the best playmaker, Rin and Shidou share the finisher crown, NEL Isagi has the highest ceiling, and Aiku is the best defender. Pick by the role your pulls support, not by a global crown.
Is Nel Isagi better than Rin?
Different jobs. NEL Isagi breaks structured games open with a higher skill ceiling; Rin converts chances more reliably across more matches. New players win more with Rin; veterans highlight-reel with NEL Isagi.
Which character should a beginner pick first?
Base Isagi — he arrives almost free at roughly 55% per normal roll and teaches every mechanic. Then build around your first premium instead of forcing a wishlist role.
Who plays goalkeeper in Goalbound?
No dedicated keeper class exists. The keeper build is Gagamaru or Aiku with Iron Wall ego, using timed M1 parries, airborne E interceptions, and Space + M1 headers. One volunteer per 6v6 side is enough.
Does Goalbound Legacy share these characters?
No. Goalbound Legacy is a separate same-name project. Its roster, rarities, and codes do not transfer to the XI-GO game covered here — always check the developer name reads XI-GO.
