Candy Kingdom Defense Traits and Odds

A trait is what makes a Candy Kingdom Defense hero worth keeping. The developer's description puts it plainly: you "Level up your squad, reroll for Mythic traits like Oh My Glob". The Castle Lemongrab panel in the game lists every trait with its real drop rate, and those odds are the single most useful table in the game.

The Full Trait Table

These are the odds shown in the game's own Castle Lemongrab panel, read directly from the interface.

Trait Drop rate Effect line in the panel Rarity colour
Sharp 18% Damage White
Stretchy 18% Range White
Quick 13% Attack speed White
Thrifty 12% Costs 10% less Blue
Sugar Rush 12% Attack speed Blue
Brawny 10% Damage Blue
Radical 5% Damage and range Purple
Mathematical 4% Damage Purple
Algebraic 2% Damage and attack speed Purple
Hero of Ooo 0.8% Damage, range and attack speed Gold
Oh My Glob 0.2% Damage, range and attack speed Rainbow

Two things jump out immediately.

The top of the list is not the top of the game. Sharp and Stretchy together account for 36% of rolls, and the multi-stat traits you actually want sit at the bottom: Radical at 5%, Hero of Ooo at 0.8% and Oh My Glob at 0.2%. Common traits are cheap in effort and cheap in power.

Oh My Glob is a Mythic trait, which the official description confirms by naming it as the example of a Mythic reroll, and the panel colours it in rainbow to mark it. At 0.2%, that is roughly one in five hundred rolls. You are not going to farm it. You are going to buy a stack of Trait Crystals and reroll until it appears, which is exactly what the reroll guide is for.

Read the percentage under the trait name

Each trait shows its exact bonus under its name in the panel, something like a damage or range percentage. The table above gives the drop rates and the stat categories, which are the numbers you plan around; check the panel for the live bonus before you commit crystals to a specific hero.

Reading the Panel for Yourself

The Castle Lemongrab panel in the game shows:

  • A hero card on the left with the current hero, its rarity and level. The example in the interface is FINN — RARE — LV.1.
  • The current trait slot, which reads NO TRAIT for a hero that has not been rolled, with a REROLL TRAIT button and a crystal cost.
  • The TRAIT ODDS list, the table above.
  • A GET CRYSTALS column on the right with the four purchase bundles.

Because the panel shows the live odds for the hero you have selected, you can always check the real numbers before spending. A trait list in a guide is a snapshot; the panel is the truth for your account.

Trait odds can improve

The VIP gamepass, priced at 349 Robux, explicitly offers "better trait odds at Castle Lemongrab", and the official description tells you that rerolling for "Mythic traits like Oh My Glob" is a core activity. If you are going to reroll heavily, that pass is the one that changes the math. The gamepasses guide weighs it against the alternatives.

Which Traits to Chase

If you want damage: Sharp at 18%, Brawny at 10%, Radical at 5%, Mathematical at 4%, Algebraic at 2%, and Oh My Glob at 0.2%. The first two are common enough to roll casually. The rest are the reason to spend crystals.

If you want attack speed: Quick at 13%, Sugar Rush at 12%, Algebraic at 2%, and the two multi-stat traits. Sugar Rush at 12% is the one you will actually see, and it sits below three common traits.

If you want range: Stretchy at 18%, Radical at 5%, Hero of Ooo at 0.8% and Oh My Glob at 0.2%. Range is a separate stat from damage, and Stretchy being a white, 18% drop means it is the easiest of the three stats to get.

If you want a squad that works together: look at what your best heroes already have before rerolling. A hero with a solid common trait is a stable slot, and trading a stable slot for a 0.8% roll is a bad trade unless you have spare hero slots to hold the losers.

How Rarity and Traits Interact

Trait odds and unit rarity are separate systems that meet in one place: the reroll.

  • A unit's rarity decides its base stats and its star count.
  • A trait is rolled onto the unit afterwards, and it can be good, bad or nothing. A freshly summoned hero can show NO TRAIT before you roll it.
  • The evolution stages listed in the Enchiridion panel, Common through Mythic, are a separate ladder again. That is how far a hero can climb, not how it was summoned.

The practical consequence is that a Rare hero with a good trait can beat a Legendary hero with a bad one, which is the whole reason the tier list weighs role and trait rather than stars alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the rarest trait in Candy Kingdom Defense? Oh My Glob at 0.2%. The developer names it explicitly as a Mythic trait.

How do you get a trait on a hero? Reroll it at Castle Lemongrab using Trait Crystals, through the REROLL TRAIT button on the panel.

What does Oh My Glob do? It increases damage, and it is the game's flagship Mythic trait.

Are trait odds the same for every hero? The panel shows one odds list per hero, and the VIP pass improves the odds, so assume the base list applies and that premium accounts can do better.

Should I reroll a hero I already use? Yes, if the hero fills a slot in your six. The reroll guide explains the crystal economy and when to stop.
